Description
At EAT Cafe, we welcome Everyone At the Table. EAT Cafe is Philadelphia's first nonprofit, pay-what-you-can restaurant. We are a full-service, sit-down restaurant that provides a welcoming space for all to share a high-quality meal, regardless of their ability to pay.
At a time when nearly 1 in 4 Philadelphians are food insecure, EAT Cafe is founded on the belief that everyone has a right to access healthy, hearty, and affordable food with dignity. Using a pay-what-you-can model, we will offer suggested prices and our guests will choose how much to pay based on what they feel they can afford. Guests will have the option of paying the suggested price, pay more, pay less, or pay nothing at all.
EAT Cafe is more than just a restaurant - it will serve as a hub for neighborhood collaboration and innovation. EAT Café is located at 3820 Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia at the intersection of several vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. EAT Café aims to engage the community through various activities, events, and educational programming including culinary workshops, poetry nights, and job readiness training.
EAT Cafe is a collaboration among Drexel's Center for Hunger-Free Communities and the West Philadelphia Community.
